Nebula v1.3 Released
Another CPS-2 emulator release! Nebula was updated to v1.3, here's what's new:
  • Fixed some rowscrolling problems (there are still many errors yet, but I know the cause)
  • New sprite priority code. Now all seems ok.
  • Added Auto Save/Load, that saves/load the game state on exit/entry.
  • Screenshot format switched to PNG. (older shots are automatically converted)
  • Frameskip value is stored.
  • In the GUI you can draw the slider to move the list.
  • Added wheel mouse support.
  • Pause button mutes the sound.
  • Changed the graphic modes for 19xx, now it's more "pixel perfect".
  • A final comment, due to many questions I've received. The best sounding mode is
  • Interpolated 22050 Hz (not 44100 Hz), this is due to the fact that the code is
  • optimized for that mode and using higher frequencies result in a loss of sound quality.
Download it from the Arcade Emulators section.

Final Burn Hack v1.6a

Pop-up Hell
An advertiser has added pop-ups to the rotation which is causing all the pop-ups today and last night. I'm trying to get them to stop it or I'll have to remove them complexly. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm all over it.

New Emulation Era
I've talked with Atila from Retrogames about the server attacks on both of our servers and we want to issue in a new era in emulation where we work together. Atila and I haven't always seen eye-to-eye with each other, but we want that to change going forward. The first step is to stop the server attacks, that's just wrong. So anyone that was/is attacking a ztnet server, please stop. Those that I think were involved have been asked to stop as well. In order for this to work, we all need to get along (we're on the same side after all). I also want to appologize for posting the IRC log earlier (it's been removed now). I posted it as anonymous so no specific person would be blamed, but some people read between the lines and thought it was a particular person (and the wrong person). Anyway, lets stop being childish get on with what we all love.

I waited by his car for a while and was going to offer him an Arcade@Home t-shirt or something. But I got bored and left (I also didn't want to seem like a psycho stalker). Forums are On-line
After a few weeks of down-time, the forums are once again back on-line. I've been running in circles trying to figure out what was wrong with them, thinking all along it was a mysql problem. Come to find out, it was a problem with the forum software working with the latest version of mysql. Anyway, they work. I also added a CPS-2 Emulators forum that needs to be filled with messages =) Also, thanks to Martin S. for helping out with the "libmysqlclient.so.10" question from a few days ago.

Site Changes
I got gzip compression running on the new server which should make all pages load much faster (mostly for modem users). The compression is quite good, around 5:1, so those on a modem should see a noticeable speed increase. Unlike before where I had to do the compression myself in order to work with php (server-side language like perl), this time I used the off-the shelf mod_gzip that added php support. If all this this is beyond you, just know that browsing should be faster. =) If anyone notices any problems, let me know. Also, I'm still trying to get the forums running again but mysql is not cooperating. If anyone knows how to get "libmysqlclient.so.10" in the path so programs can find it, let me know (I have little hair left from this problem). Use the "Submit News" link to the left and help a guy out. =)
