Mimic WIP Update
The WIP page has been updated once again..Here's the following updates of its progresses:
    Oct 29 :
    • Another day, another bug fix. Fixed a bug in the 68000 core. Minor addressing thing. Now, Megadrive:MidnightResistance works!!! The other pic is of a cool game I came across called Zero Tolerance. Easily the best Megadrive game I've seen to date, and that's saying something.
    Oct 28:
    • Updated the Guide with a new page that fully documents the INI file. Man that Guide is out of date :) I have been overhauling the high level cpu emulation loop code. Previously, I had to use ugly things like cpu0, cpu1, etc because MSC7 didn't like arrays of structures when the structures got over a certain size. Now, with DJGPP, I can use cpu[x] and minimise the code a lot. I am sure that the compiler will have a more happy time optimising it too :) The major reason I started dealing with this is to allow the 4th cpu for the 32X.

PCSX V1.4 Released
The PSX Emulator(Win/Linux) has been updated once again..Here's the following changes:
  • hi, here's the v1.4 release, this one cames with much better speed and compatibility, the speed improvement is about 30-40% percent, but you'll notice that the fps doesn't increases generally, that's because the internal vsync handling is now as the psx, and that's twice as slower that we used to, so now games runs much more smoothly.
  • Pcsx now support NetPlay, but it doesn't supports cyberpad, since i rewrote the api (hi JNS :), and i wrote a plugin for this new api, netSock v0.1 .

Meka V0.64b Released
The Sega Master System/Game Gear emulator(DOS) has been updated once again...Here's the following changes:
  • Added patches to be able to run SMS BIOS images (Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Hang On / Safari Hunt, Sonic the Hedgehog...) as standard games.
  • Fixed an amazingly stupid problem that's been around since years, which was that Game Gear colors were considered as 9-bits instead of 12-bits. Colors are now more precise, and you can notice a clear difference by looking at the ground in FIFA International Soccer. Thanks goes to Carleton Handley (the FIFA programmer on Game Gear) for clearly pointing that out to me.
  • Fixed VDP IE1 bit controls on Z80 IRQ Line.
  • Fixed top of the screen in video mode 3, and optimized its refresh. (used by Cabbage Patch Kids Picture Show and Smurf Paint & Play Workshop)
  • Added Danish translation (by Marc Klemp).
  • Patches write commands (in MEKA.PAT) now support multiple bytes in a single line.
  • Added and modified entries in the checksum and compatibility lists.
  • Added "Skydrop" theme by Peter Deas (need to uncomment it in MEKA.THM).
  • [Windows] Removed some unused bits in Allegro library and statically linked it within the executable, reducing the ZIP file by 150 Kb!

Pete's GPU's V1.67 Released
Pete has updated his GPU video plugins(Win/Linux) once again..Here's the following changes he mentioned:
  • All the small fixes I've added to the P.E.Op.S. soft plugin 1.9 are now included in my hw/accel plugins as well. A big 'thanx' goes to Farfetch'd for his valuable infos
Here a small list of game improvements:
  • Transparency issues in FF6 (semi-transparent people) are solved
  • Madden doesn't need the 'old coord check' special game fix anymore
  • Many 'big polygon' troubles are fixed (don't ask me for game names, I only had save states for tests, but I am sure that the users who gave me the saves will notice the differences :))
  • The ChronoCross Fort Dragonia scene will now work fine without any game fix (I've removed the old CC fix in this release). Prolly also all other CC scenes with similar glitches are now fine, too.
  • The 'nVidia FSAA' special game fix is now somewhat stronger, hopefully it will help the games which showed black rects when FSAA was activated.
  • I was able to enhance my internal texture alignment: there are now less glitches with texture windows when filtering is enabled, and, more important, some small but stupid texture glitches are now fixed as well (for example with Grandia texts, Jumping Flash status displays and a few Wild Arms1 texture garbage happenings).
  • Ok , that's all... it's getting harder and harder to make real improvements, but I guess that's 'a good thing', eh?

Mimic V2.10 Released
The multi-arcade emulator(DOS) has been released..Here's the following changes the author mentioned lol:
  • This is a WIP release that is mostly to test once and for all whether or not the XP crashing is a sound related issue or not. SOUND-ON in the INI file now completly disables sound. I have also compiled this to be pentium code to see if that improves the number of smiles Mimic creates. There maybe a few other partially done things in there like better YM2612 support. This is also the 20th release!
  • I may go quiet again here for a while as I have something brewing. Rest assured you will be happy. Gerrie(Xega) has been kind enough to offer documentation for the Mega32X and MegaCD. He also offered source but I refused because, as you know, Mimic is 100% my own code and will remain that way. Just call me a sadist :) Anyway I can't wait to get my hands on those docs. (drool)
