Kega Lazarus SE Release 5 Released!
Kega Lazarus is a Sega Master System, Game Gear, SG-1000, SC-3000, Genesis & SegaCD emulator for Windows. News:
    • Major changes to dual 68000 core. Completely seperated Main and Sub CPU emulation, before they used the same code. This allows me to try out a clever trick I thought up, which should hopefully mean that Perfect Sync is slightly faster, and works better. Time will tell This may also affect Genesis emulation, but hopefully it didn't break anything.
    • Rewritten SegaCD PCM emulation (again)
    • Rewritten SegaCD CDD emulation (again)
    • Rewrite to parts of the SegaCD Gate Array
    • Rewrite to parts of the SegaCD Graphics Conversion functions.
    • Rewritten SegaCD CD SubSystem, timing etc. should now work much better than before.
    • SegaCD "ReadAhead" now goes up to 8. Some drives may work better but I recommend trying a lower value first.
    • Made improvements to the SegaCD ISO/BIN reader.
    • Added BIN/CUE support.
    • Fixed Genesis GameGenie .PAT file save issue.
    • Rewrote Genesis/SegaCD VDP DMA.
    • Many other little tweaks and fixes which I can't quite remember.

    ClrMamePro 3.01 Released!

Another update on the Rom manager. Here are the new changes..

    Version 3.01 (06/02/03) >ul>
  • added: XML datfile / MAME XML -listinfo (or whatever) output support
  • added: scanner advanced dupes check for sets which are in one or more rom/samplepaths
  • added: datfile check/fix for the 'chinagat issue'. It's about 'nodump' roms but where a valid checksum is given for it within its parent/clone relationships. ClrMamePro can overwrite the 'nodump' with that found checksum. The file will still be listed as 'baddump' when the adv- scanner option 'show baddump & inverted crcs' is enabled. That new handling avoids any replacements with dummy files. If a scan now reports errors for your files, you're using dummyfiles and you should replace them. So simply click on 'yes' when ClrMamePro cleans up the datfile ;) In MAME 3 sets are currently effected: chinagat, saiyugou and omega.
  • misc: rebuilder doesn't rebuild biossets when 'separate biossets' is disabled.
  • misc: 'rebuilder->skip when file exists in rompath' test isn't used when current destination matches currently tested rompath.
  • misc: some scanner code cleanup...scanner gets a bit faster
  • misc: little rebuilder speedup for dats which use 'baddump' tags instead of ~crc32s and for dats which don't use any 'nodumps' (0-crc32s).
  • fixed: 'logfile saved successfully' message isn't shown Nice! So go update once again.

    ClrMamePro 3.00 Released!

A little late on the news but oh well..hehehe. Finaly version 3.0 of this popular Rom manager has been released. Check out the new changes and updates. Mainly the scanner speed increase/cpu usage decrease and preparations for a possible MAME XML -listinfo output.

Also noted on the site about the new version...

XML datfile support is currently DISABLED. I've coded but haven't enabled XML DatFile parsing yet, because the final structure of MAME's -listinfo xml output is still discussed. So be prepared for more CMPro releases ;). ClrMamePro will then needs the xerces-c_2_2_0.dll, which I may provide in the upcoming releases or give you a download-link.

    Version 3.00 (05/23/03)
    • misc: major scanner speed increase and scanner cpu usage lowering
    • misc: missing biosfiles aren't shown in each single set when 'allow separate bios roms' is disabled
    • misc: save-fixdatfile includes wrong checksums
    • misc: some more internal checksumroutines cleanup
    • misc: some '0-crcs' strings replaced with 'nodumps'
    • misc: statistics shows number of 'baddumps'
    • misc: 'missing or wrong named BIOS Set' renamed to 'Problem in BIOS Set'
    • misc: datfile format change nodump/baddump to flag nodump/baddump
    • misc: 'old paper' button bar is now standard
    • misc: 'deeper check for fixable missing files' option won't look for missing biosfiles in each set (depends on 'allow separate bios roms') (it IS called for the BIOS set itself of course)
    • fixed: rare sha1 issue when scanning romsets with chds (showing a correct sha1 as wrong)
    • fixed: useless 'wrong sysdefpath' message when keeping diskimages roms/chds separated and roms are missing.
    • fixed: some filesharing issues

Wow, a big update it looks like. Try it out and check those Roms of yours.
