Jihad Against Danish Newspaper
It seems that there's no such thing as humor with Muslims. A Danish newspaper published a few cartoons of Mohammed and Saudi Arabia and Muslim fundamentalists has gone off the deep end. They've pulled diplomats and are demanding some kind of apology from the Danish government which has been refused because how could the Danish government apologize over a newspaper posting something that's totally in their right to publish. Now an al-Qaeda website is listing terrorist targets in Denmark and shows pictures of blood flowing over the national flag of Denmark. And, Muslim fundamentalists have threatened to bomb the paper’s offices and kill the cartoonists.
Did I miss something? It seems that I have. According to Islam it is blasphemous to create images of the prophet Mohammed at all. It doesn't matter if you're making fun of Mohammed or not. Any image of Mohammed is blasphemous it would seem.
I'm not Muslim, so it's not blasphemous for me to post a few of the cartoons in question.
If these images offend someone, get over it. It's called humor, and it's funny because there's some truth to it (that's how humor works).
Here's a funny cartoon making fun of all of this:
